The middle of January in Calgary is a bad time for three people to be waiting in a nightclub line-up. The line is long, the air is cold and we're desperate for distraction.
We get it from the guy in line behind us, who is already too drunk to notice how cold it is. His name is Garth, and this is his stag night. He and his buddies are telling us all about their visit to the French Maid, home of Calgary's finest exotic dancers. Garth even has an autographed poster of one of the strippers, Luscious Laura. Aside from the standard high quality T & A, she's written an extra special message about how much she'd like Garth to cum on her tits. I'm wondering if he'll leave it lying around in the kitchen for his fiancé to find in the morning. Chatting with Garth, we forget about the cold, and we have our first fun experience of the evening. Finally, we get into the club. We dance. We drink. We stare at half dressed women. We try to come up with strange new ways to hit on people. Three hours later, the club is shutting down, and now they've turned on the lights. Oohh!! Shouldn't have done that! It's Junior High all over again. What a cruel trick to play on the desperate people looking for someone to go home with. For them, darkness was an ally. Now they've been revealed, bad hair, runny makeup and beer breath. All the smart boys and girls went home with someone long before the lights came on. Happily, we're not looking for someone to go home with. We leave the club and stop at a hot dog vendor. There, we find a couple of French girls waiting for their hot dogs. We chat them up and find out that Julie and Judithe are sisters. It turns out they're on a stagette. Most girls just go to ladies night and watch boring male strippers for their stagette. Not Julie. Her sister takes her to the French Maid to see some real strippers. They even have the same poster of Luscious Laura that Garth had, this time without the personalized autograph. We hang out with them while we eat our hot dogs. We flirt, we laugh, talk French and discuss strippers. We tell them about Whitewater, Wisconsin, which is where we're from tonight (wink, wink). Julie and Judithe were much friendlier than any women I met in the bar that night. We all walk a few blocks together before parting ways, bringing an end to the second fun experience of the evening. Thinking back, I don't even remember what happened while we were at the nightclub. I only remember Garth, Julie, Judithe and of course, Luscious Laura.
